Golf Umbrella, Do I need one?

So when out golfing on the golf course you see those dark ominous clouds rolling in but have only a few holes left in your round.  Do you simply stop and not finish your golf round?  Heck no your golfing you are prepared for anything that comes your way and the best part about it is the golf umbrella that you have in your bag ready to go at a minute’s notice.  Here are a few to consider for your golf bag as they are all built for success in those cruddy rainy day rounds.  Pick one pick them all it doesn’t matter which one as long as your prepared for the rain.  And remember you can use these in other ways also helping you to decide if they are worth the value so go on and check them out.

Ping

So I wanted to just start here with the Ping double canopy golf umbrella.  A double canopy is a better way of saying that it is oversized to help keep you dry under the waterproof canopy.  They have created this umbrella with a 68″ waterproof Pongee fabric helping to cover you and your golf bag as you are walking from shot to shot.  With its simple push-button design, it will be opened up and ready to cover you in a moment’s notice when those rainstorms show up on you.

Golf Umbrella, Do I need one?The golf umbrella has some very flexible and durable high-density fiberglass ribs holding the fabric tight in the circle it’s creating.  Having the fabric tight helps to keep the umbrella upright and ready to deal with the rain.  Another nice feature with that is making the umbrella flexible with high winds but keeping it upright and open for the entire time you need it.  Also, the umbrella has a textured rubber handle keeping it in your grips if your hands get any moisture on them.  At $65 the umbrella will give you a quality experience when using on the course.

When searching out an umbrella the larger size will help to keep you out of the rain but also collapses and fits in your golf bag for easy access.  You can go find these umbrellas at Fairway Golf USA and get that dry feel when walking around the golf course.  You might also want to check out some of the rain gear they have available to help keep you dry on the course.

TaylorMade

Now here we have another golf umbrella the TaylorMade TM Tour double canopy.  Again the double canopy is going to be larger and covers more areas to keep you dry.  Now this one is used by most of the TaylorMade golf tour professionals using them on a regular basis.  Having an ergonomic rubber grip giving you a secure hold on those wet and windy days.

The 64″ canopy has been designed to be sturdy and also breathable letting the airflow around and through especially on those very windy days.  Also, the lightweight fiberglass handle is very durable keeping the umbrella upright and over the top of you as your walking on course.  Having that good airflow will help to continue helping give you an easy grip while holding on.  At $65 this is a more pricey umbrella but will be one you will have for years to come on the golf course.

I for one have a TaylorMade umbrella that I use in the rain and love.  I can say it will last a while as mine is very old already but still working well.  If you are looking for this umbrella go on over to Fairway Golf USA and get yours now they also have many other accessories to choose from while you are they and they even sell Japanese golf clubs.

Mizuno

So here we have another double canopy golf umbrella made by Mizuno.  This umbrella has a 64″ canopy helping to give you the overall coverage you are looking for.  You can use this on the course then continue using it off the golf course whether it’s headed to dinner or out on the town it will continue to keep you dry and out of the elements.

Golf Umbrella, Do I need one?

This umbrella has been created to withstand winds of up to 60 miles per hour.  Having the deeper arch in the umbrella helping to keep the wind out from underneath the umbrella giving better stability.  If you are out golfing in that kind of wind I will be impressed with the results as I tend to not golf in wind over 25 miles per hour.  Anything more tends to mess with my golf shots way too much.

In the search for a golf umbrella, Mizuno has come up with an umbrella that will keep you dry while withstanding many of mother nature’s winds.  At the price of $40, this is a more reasonable golf umbrella that will help you with all your needs in an umbrella.  You can go grab one of these over at Fairway Golf USA and stay dry out on the course or headed for your favorite watering hole after your golf round.  Remember the golf of the umbrella is to ultimately keep you dry but also fashionable at the same time.

Callaway

Ok, here we have a golf umbrella that is for the golfer who wants to brighten up the rainy day with some color above your head.  The Callaway golf umbrella is the one for you with the very bright green coloring helping you to be spotted on the course while using it.  Having a 68″ canopy covering you all around on the course.

Golf Umbrella, Do I need one?

The umbrella has a vented design on the top allowing for great airflow when it’s windy and keeping the umbrella open above you.  Having a molded handle for good grip is a plus and a sold fiberglass shaft to keep the umbrella up.  With most of the larger umbrellas, these are the keys to keeping them up and secure.  With a $75 price tag, this is a little higher priced umbrella yet built with a great brand and good reputation in the golf arena.

The poles holding the canopy are also made to help keep the umbrella tight and in place in extreme conditions.  While looking to be fashionable and stand out on the course this will help you find that for sure.  You can find this at Fairway Golf USA and also more great Callaway golf products that you need for your golf round.

Titleist

You can’t go without the Titleist double canopy golf umbrella if you play with Titleist golf equipment.  You can but most golfers tend to like to stay with one brand of equipment on the course to round off all of their golf equipment.  Used by tour professionals another golf umbrella created with a larger canopy to keep you dry on those cruddy rain days out on the course.

This umbrella has added strapping to help keep the umbrella up and in place in the windy conditions.  It also has a double layer canopy helping to let the air flow pass through without the umbrella failing in the wind.  It has UV protection so on those hot days you can use it to help keep you cool also while out on the golf course.

The fiberglass shaft helps to keep the umbrella up and the shaft also keeps from any bending in strong winds.  Having a good handle is also part of the umbrella giving you a complete grip while on the course.  As I had said before it has the extra strapping meant to keep the umbrella from going inside out from the strong winds.  As this umbrella is $80 it is one of the more expensive ones but has the perfect features to keep it up and ready all the time.

You can go find this umbrella and other Titleist golf equipment at Fairway Golf USA and keep yourself dry and cool on the golf course.  Even taking it out on the town with you or to the beach.  An all-around good purchase for your golf game.

Proactive

Ok, so this last umbrella will not help keep you dry at all as it is meant for your golf clubs.  It simply slides in your golf bag and keeps your golf clubs dry and helps to keep your golf bag dry also.  Now, why would you want one of these umbrellas?  The answer to that is very simple in the fact that they are very reasonably priced at $19.99 and will keep that moisture out of the inside of your golf bag.

Golf Umbrella, Do I need one?

You don’t want any of that in your golf bag getting your golf club grips wet or the bag inside itself as then you will have a smelly golf bag and who wants that.  The shaft of the umbrella is flexible and easy to put up and take down as needed.  It also has a flex in the shaft making it bendable to get your clubs quickly and easily.

Golf Umbrella, Do I need one?

If you are going to protect yourself you need to protect your investments which mainly are your golf clubs.  Golf clubs are very expensive and you want them to last so here is another way to help them to last a lifetime.  You can go and find these at Fairway Golf USA they make a great gift for your golf buddies and a nice addition to your golf bag.

  1. Hi

Thank you for putting this article together. It saves a lot of time researching on the internet, or wanding around the mall.

Judging by your comments, I’m tempted with the mizuno. I like the fact that it can withstand such strong winds yet still be stylish for the trip home.

You’ve saved me a lot of time!

  2. I haven’t started to play Golf, but I want to and will do for sure in the future. Though, this doesn’t mean those who I know don’t play Golf. And in fact I have not seen them with this item. I will share the link to them and see if they are interested.

  3. These are some real quality umbrellas. I can see why the die-hard game finisher should have at least one for humans, plus the Proactive for the golf bag. I prefer clement weather and could use any of these umbrellas as a sun blocker. I’m sure the people I’ve seen as I drive past golf courses, who play in rainy weather – like the tournament in Ohio where it rains every year – will do well to study this article and take time to get to know some of these recommendations better.

    • It is amazing that people play in the rain but a diehard golfer will always finish a round once it’s started.  I never used an umbrella for keeping the sun off of me and staying cooler but it is one thing that they can be used for that will be a great added benefit to your golf bag.  Good luck out there on the course and enjoy the day.

  4. I think some of the most essential things to consider when getting an umbrella for golf is the ability to with stand the rains and strong winds. Great brands listed in this article. I think these are good might even get to use it when off the sport especially the one that can withstand 60 miles per hour wind. Thanks I couldn’t help falling in love with the long umbrella.

    • I would never really thought that you could take and use the umbrella elsewhere I guess just a stupid thought on my part.  It really is an awesome thought about the umbrella though that you can use them when headed out on the town or using them when it is super sunny and hot out.  Well good luck to you on the course and enjoy the day.  Thank you for taking the time to check out my site.

  5. I wish that I could still play golf but for medical reasons, I can not. However, with that said I still am looking at purchasing one of those umbrellas because I find they are big enough to keep me drier then small ones lol. Thanks for the great read.
